Taking a plot

All plotholders sign a simple Tenancy Agreement  which is a legal document that is required by Bexley Council. The rent for a plot is calculated by a cost per Square Metre. Click on the green button below to download our Terms and Conditions.

 

A standard plot is 250 SqMt, but the actual size varies with the different plots’ locations on the site. The annual rent is set by Bexley Council and Delegated sites are allowed to vary this by 2p per SqMt above or below this rent. Rents are shown in the tables below.

 

A subsidy of 50% on the rent is available to over 60’s, registered disabled or those receiving benefits.

 

Out of Borough plotholders are subject to a different rental charge. (Please see the table below for details.)

ARLGA Allotment Rents

These rents are determined by Bexley Council and our Association has always set rents 2p (1p for concessions) below the rents for Council administered sites, which is the lowest we are allowed.

Borough resident annual concession price (£0.21p/m2)

Borough resident annual full price (£0.42p/m2)

ARLGA Allotment charges from 1 Oct 2023 to 30 Sept 2024:

Non borough resident annual full price (£0.50p/m2)

Non borough resident annual concession price (£0.25p/m2)
